I am over in Covina today at “The Packing House” helping set up the lighting and doing some wall painting for a gallery both mine and Camille’s work is going to be on display. The reception is this upcoming Friday on what I believe is the third at roughly 7pm. The show will be up for a few months. Come check it out
Today I will unfortunately be busy all day and won’t be able to do anymore work on this until late Sunday. But here is where I am now on it
This is after a few touch ups and a little work and refinement in certain areas. I have to go to bed soon so I won’t be drawing anymore tonight, but I will be posting the final photo to get everyone caught up to what I have done right before bed.
Second stage of Swamp Thing penciling. This is where I was when I made the earlier post.
This is the first stage of penciling for an image I am creating of Swamp Thing. This is how far I got on my lunch break at work this morning, so about 15-20 minutes of work. In about an hour I will post a picture of it as it is now, and then hopefully later tonight it even more completed.
Later today I will be posting an image of me trying out a slightly different style of drawing in comic form than what I’ve done before. It’s slightly more DC, but I’m happy with how it’s coming out even though I want be able to make anything of it at the moment. I will be doing more worked for the Plagued soon, but I just need a breather after only drawing Zombies for such a long period of time. Either way the first 12 pages of issue number two will be relatively simple from the point I’m at currently and I am excited to get back to work on it, I just have a ton going on these last few days of the week. Tonight we are putting up the “Eat Your Heart Out” art show at Chaffey College, and I am going to get my first look at a room on campus for a future art show that I am proposing and setting up with a few other members of CAO.

As of yesterday Forbidden Panel is officially the publisher for “The Plagued”
Today the plan is simple.. Draw a lot. It isn’t always easy to sit down and continuously work for hours on end, but today that is the plan. I will be starting by sketching out the frame borders of the first six pages based off my thumbnails, and following that I hope to actually pencil out as many of them as possible. Well I had already started on issue two a few weeks before issue 1 was finished, and although that may have been rushing things a little bit.. I want to put out a second issue as soon as possible. The more out there the better. As of today I have the first 14 pages to issue 2 of The Plagued thumbnailed out. I know whats going to happen, and for those first 14 pages, I now know pretty much what its going to look like. The more I do the more excited I get. It’s pretty great. This upcoming week I think I may start pencilling some of the new pages out in full size. I don’t want to get to ahead of myself though, I still need a free comic book day issue for this May, and to do that I have to have a five page comic done pretty much by Wondercon.
The near future is looking really busy and I am getting really excited for what’s to come.
As of today I am completely done with Issue #1 of “The Plagued”. Congratulations to me.
