It has been a rough few days, and work has pressed on. Although my first three tries at screen prints were unsuccessful I watched a few videos and read a few articles online to make sure I would not get it wrong again. After I felt confident about it I set up three screens, not small ones, mixed all of my remaining emulsion, and started work. Without any emulsion remover left I needed to get everything right this time or I would have wasted near 80 dollars in the last few weeks on supplies and had to buy more and start all over. Luckily everything worked perfectly this time around. I finished that yesterday and today I did some test printing that came out great.
Here are some pictures of the process, the first one is a picture of a frame after I removed the emulsion the second time. Most the others are photos of the image burning process. Sorry there are some gaps but I can’t expose the emulsion on the screens to light until this point in the process and not only is doing all this work in the dark hard, but pictures in the dark just don’t work. If I could have I would have though, it was a lot of fun.
